Peak Physio

Sport Strapping & Taping

What is Sport Strapping and Taping?

Sport strapping and taping supports injured or vulnerable areas, reduces pain, improves joint stability, and aids injury prevention during activity. At Peak Physio, we use a range of methods — including rigid strapping, kinesiology taping, and elastic therapeutic tape — tailored to your sport and condition.

What do we tape for ?

Ankle sprains, ACL and knee instability, shin splints, tennis and golfer's elbow, plantar fasciitis, shoulder dislocations and rotator cuff issues, patellofemoral pain, hamstring and quad strains, and back pain. Our taping services are popular with rugby players, netballers, runners, cyclists, gym-goers, and weekend warriors.

When Should You Use Sport Taping?

Taping is a good option if you're returning to sport post-injury, playing through minor pain, preparing for a tournament or heavy training block, managing joint instability, or protecting a chronic or recurring issue. It's often combined with a wider physiotherapy treatment plan for long-term recovery and prevention.

Sports Taping Benefits

Sport taping prevents injury, stabilises joints during dynamic activity, reduces strain on recovering tissues, enhances proprioception, and improves confidence when returning to play — with faster rehabilitation when combined with physiotherapy.
